Doug Aitken – Mirage

This book-object offers a documented immersion into Aitken's exploration of reflective surfaces in architecture. Dedicated to the three editions of Mirage in Palm Springs, Detroit and Gstaad (2017-2021), it's presented in the form of an experiential book sharing the characteristics of the installation: emotional immersion, altered perception and fusion with the landscape. With “Mirage,” Doug Aitken virtuosically explores architecture, sound and moving image, deconstructing space and time without linear narrative.

Designed by Arno Baudin (Zolo Press), this book brings together previously unpublished photographic documentation, drawings and text by Neville Wakefield, as well as an interview with the artist on the evolution of Mirage. Limited edition with a leporello binding reflecting the mirror quality of the work, ideal for collectors and lovers of beautiful books.
