Moe Suzuki – Sokohi
As his father gradually loses his sight due to glaucoma, artist Moe Suzuki begins to document their daily lives. Through photographs intertwined with family memories, she explores what her father can no longer see, but which others perceive, while imagining the altered and unique visual world of her father.
Born in Tokyo, Moe Suzuki studied photography in London before returning to her hometown after the 2011 earthquake. She began bookbinding as a self-taught artist, beginning a career where photography mixed with archives and illustrations. Her work mainly focuses on subjects such as community life, people with disabilities or spirituality.
