An anthology of nearly 900 pages, Picture Industry explores the rich history of mechanically reproduced imagery from the 19th century to the present, with contributions from major post-war and contemporary artists. This exhibition reflects its curator Walead Beshty's long-standing engagement with the mechanical, political, and ontological dimensions of photography. This essential work brings together the writings of more than 200 authors and artists, forming an unique study around the photographic medium.
